Categories of Membership
Associate Members
Individuals who are in the process of becoming professional coaches or who have an interest in coaching but do not meet the eligibility criteria for full membership
Full Members
(Professional Coach, Professional Master Coach)
Individuals who are professional coaches and meet the eligibility criteria established by the board of directors.
Trainer Members
Certified professional trainers who meet the eligibility criteria established by the board of directors.
Master Trainer Members
Certified professional master trainers who meet the eligibility criteria established by the board of directors; Individuals that have made significant contributions to the coaching profession or the ICU and are granted this membership by the board of directors.
Corporate Members
Organizations involved in the coaching profession or related fields, such as training institutions, consultancy firms, or other entities that support the objectives of the ICU. Here are also the local groups that make up the ICU association.
The ICU Association may also award Honorary Membership.
Honorary Membership is granted to individuals who have made significant contributions to the development and dissemination of coaching, as well as to the advancement of the International Coaches Union Association. This status is awarded as recognition of their special merits and contributions to the growth of coaching and ICU.

HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER
Requirement for eligibility for applying to Membership Category
Associate Members
Be Certified as Associated Coach by ICU.
Full Members
Be Certified as Professional Coach or Professional Master Coach by ICU
Trainer Members
Be Certified as Professional Trainer by ICU
Master Trainer Members
Be Certified as Professional Master Trainer by ICU
Corporate Members
Be an established organization that has signed an agreement with ICU to support the objectives of the ICU.
* People who have been trained somewhere else other than with ICU can still join the ICU Association if they pass the Evaluation Interview and meet the criteria for the Membership Category. The evaluation process may include a written evaluation and presenting a session either with a live client or on video (for coaches) or an oral teaching session (for trainers), depending on the category they are applying for (see more here : Become a coach ). After successfully passing the evaluation, they will receive a Certificate of Evaluation from the ICU Association. Please note that this session is charged separately, and you can inquire about the price and other details if needed here info@coachunion.com.
* In many jurisdictions, membership fees to non-profit organizations are typically considered donations rather than a transaction for goods or services. Therefore, they are usually not subject to VAT. This is based on the concept that members are freely supporting the organization without receiving a direct benefit in return.

Once your application has been approved, pay the annual subscription fee.

*Make sure to attach the necessary documents for your membership category, the documents are mentioned inside the form too. You can also send the documents via email.
** In alignment with ICU Association’s mission to create a supportive and developmental environment, we offer financial assistance for those facing financial difficulties, coming from conflict countries, or unable to afford the full membership fee. If you believe you qualify for assistance, please email info@coachunion.com with details about your situation. The Board of Directors will review your request and determine eligibility on a case-by-case basis.
